top of the hill
my kitchen is in a single story lean-to extension to the house, and the cooker extraction hood vents vertically through the roof, with a mushroom type termination of the flue pipe.
My problem is that an unbelievable amount of wind blowns down this flue when its not in use, and this makes the back of the house really cold. I could do away with the flue, repair the roof, and just use a filter extractor but obviously this is not ideal.
I wondered if anyone knew of a way around this, for instance are there any one-way baffles that I could fit in the flue pipe? Any ideas would be very welcome
thanks
Steve
