Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum - wasn't sure where a Kitchen / Building Regs question should go!
I've just bought a property where the kitchen extractor fan is in the middle of the ceiling. It's near the hob, but it's not an extractor hood.
I'm looking to do-up the place and then sell it (and yes - I've been watching too many TV programs!). So - as far as I'm concerned, the fan can stay exactly where it is. However, someone has told me that you have to have a proper extractor hood to comply with building regs.
Can anyone confirm whether or not this is true?
Also, is there an on-line guide to building regs or do I have to buy a book or something?
Thanks,
- Chris
