I have looked through the forum and found a couple of different answers to my question and just need some clarification if possible.
I have a 6mm cable supplying power to my double over (rated at about 6kw). The cable is connected to a cooker switch was also includes a 13amp plug socket. Is it possible that the 13amp socket could supply power to a extractor hood (about 230w). Is this an electrical no no?
would it be best to run the extractor from a socket/spur on the ring main??

any help much appreciated

Regards

you can but only if you plug it in via the socket on the front, which i do not think is what you want to do.

so you will have to feed it from the ring

I was planning on running the extractor by putting a plug on the end and plugging it into the available socket on the cooker switch.

Would this be OK.
