If anyone who have a new style pull-out pantry with multiple cage shelves. And have experienced problems where the pantry will not close fully automatically staying out having to be pushed closed.
The installer of my 2 year old kitchen, left no instructions of maintenance of the mechanisms in the pull-out sliding pantry's and pull-out cupboards.
One of the pantry's started to not fully close without having to push fully closed by hand.
Clever me used WD40 to lubricate the roller wheels etc, this totally made the operations worse by staying out approx. 100mm.
Before making a claim to the installer for the faulty mechanisms under warranty. I used a cleaning fluid for removal of glues and oils etc. being self evaporating with no residues. Used the fluid to clean the plastic wheels and all the track surfaces they ran in to clear the WD40..
Removing all traces of the WD40. Everything is back as supplied operating correctly. So the operation relies on non-slip rolling of the wheels and their tracks.
So Do Not Lubricate the Mechanisms..!!!!!!!!!!!
