Hi,
Keeping in mind that I'm all but 100% clueless on these matters, while trying to fix a partially blocked kitchen pipe our under sink pipe has come away entirely. It looks like it was held on with some kind of slightly flexible sealant stuff which was already slightly leaking.
One family member instructed me to stick it back on with plumber's putty, Google and another family member say I need silicone. Family member also says we need a new trap and new drain and that this is all possible to do myself.
Any advice is appreciated, we've gone from a backed up sink to a completely unusable one! Do we really need new pipes or does this top bit simply need reattaching? The cheaper the fix the better, currently.
Thanks!
