Kitchen Sockets

Can anyone tell me if there are any regulations governing the position of sockets in a kitchen ie distance from sink or height from worktop? Also I want to put my cooker switch on a pattress in the unit next to the oven, is this ok or must it be in sight? Another also, I'm installing an extractor and was wondering if I could share the fused spur situated in the room above which powers my boiler, the spur is on the ring main.
