I've noticed from time to time that some topic post's goes missing,I think Diynot are deleting them for whatever reason.

I had one this morning, someone has written something about me and have noticed that post's has now gone.It either someone report it on the "Alert Moderators" or diynot spotted it.

I notice one of my posts which was leading off topic a bit was 'relocated' to another fourm. Perhaps their doing a bit of a clean up on the place.

Are you refering to my "Kitchen Sockets" Posts, As they seem to have disappeared off the forum for some strange reason

Greetings Forum Members,

Firstly to ban-all-sheds & paulh53, to be honest, I do not know. I am looking into the issue, but as yet I have not found a reason as to its disappearance. I'll keep you posted. :?:

To BR, this is a more regular occurence, if someone posts a topic which we feel is not the most suitable forum, then it will be moved, to try the forums ordered to keep them useful. Just for info, this doesn't affect the topic or post id, they remain the same.

Masona, occasionally post are removed, but only for a few reasons, namely, advertising, abuse, idiotic posts etc. You're quite correct, the abusive one towards you was removed. Sadly some people have too much time on their hands and will abuse facilities such as this, I don't believe it was personal.

Overall the forum direction is good, it's stronger than ever thanks to all you folks. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful. We welcome feedback on the forum/site (positive and negative) and are interested to hear of any problems/suggestions or difficulties you have in using it. You can always contact us directly at [email protected]

:D

B_A_S, I think whilst from time to time regulars can be amusing /daft / even harsh in their responses, the type of idiotic posting referred to would be things like "how dare you tell me i'm wrong / don't know what I'm doing / can't spell / have the IQ of a lightbulb / [invent your own reason for idiot to be upset], I'm going to kill you".

Obviously in real life this kind of thing happens on sites too, usually when the 16/ 17 year old labourer gets fed up with the mickey taking, but they are usually politely advised of the error of their ways.

Here we just ask the site admin to remove the offensive stuff, and it goes away.

Ah well - I only claimed to have scored in all 3 categories, not how many in each of amusing /daft /harsh...
