Hi

So I want to install a Stainless Steel Splashback behind my hob.
However there is a plug socket in the way: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Rlwwf1zjvOT7UvNF3

How easy is it to cut one of these Splashbacks ?
Could I use a jigsaw to cut around the plug socket?
The plug is currently been used for my fridge so can't really remove it :(

Cheers
Paul

Angle grinder or hacksaw (fine tooth blade) and file works for me. Whatever you do make sure that you support the stainless steel on a piece plywood or chipboard whilst you cut it to prevent it deforming. if using a jigsaw you may need to go slowly and use an anti-splinter insert in the base to prevent the metal beingcurled upwards (by the upcutting stroke of the blade)

BTW, that socket isn't really in a very safe position where it is. Personally I'd move that first, but that's me, I suppose

JobandKnocks right, it's not very safe, and wouldn't react well to a pan boiling over if on the back L/H ring.

I'd convert it to a single, positioned to the left, or shift it over as a double. The splashback would not look it's best having been cut around it.

You hav’nt explained why moving it 100mm or so to the left is not possible.?
