Hi i am due to replace the kitchen sink and tap I have at the moment.

I can cut the pipes and replace with the flexitails but the nut that secures the tap has been placed directly above a support that runs under the sink and i presume supports the cabinet, So there is only about a 1cm gap between the bottom of the nut and the board that runs all the way under the cabinet. So this stops me getting a tap spanner on the nut any ideas of anything else i can do. When i replace the sink I dont want to remove the sink if there is a problem with the tap in the future help please ???

Couldn't make this up if you tried

Remove the sink and tap at the same time. Relocate the support. Assuming it can be relocated.

Hi thanks will look at it but no visible fixings for support that is under sink cant believe it is under the tap nut, also the support is sideways so cant go through it

Can you post some pics please ? If the sink is set into a worktop ,and the base unit ( cabinet ) that the sink bowl sits in ,is also joined to base units either side of it ,you could probably remove the brace. Screw the base units to each other.
