Hi all, when we had a kitchen fitted we told the sparky to leave a wire into the units for under cabinet lighting, as such he left a wire with the copper exposed in the unit. The assumption being it was not live.
I’ve now fitted under unit lighting and connected to this cable.
I have removed the 2 hand switch plate which one of the switches already live for the main kitchen lights and expecting to find a rolled up dead end for the under panel not lights.
Unfortunately I found as per the pic and I’m confused how to wire this in now.
Any help appreciated please

Obviously there isn't the cable end there that you are looking for!

It must be somewhere else. My crystal ball is away for cleaning so, i'm afraid you have three options

Look in other places (it may be behind that unused FCU that you aren't sure what its for..)
Follow the cable
or (best)
Call the sparky and ask him/her.
