doing the kitchen and am using the B&Q IT cabinets ( cheap ), but the upper cabinets are only 290 wide without the door.. so they won't take a dinner plate..

the ones mom has are a lot deeper and easily take a dinner plate.

any ideas where I can get some wider uppers that match the "shaker oak" look of the IT ones?

if they have to be white I can always put some wide B&Q sides on them cut to width, and can use the B&Q doors to match..
( only 3 sides will be seen and the B&Q ones need colour matching sides anyway.. )

open rack for large plate storage rather than a cabinet!!!
you'd have to rinse the dust of before using them then.. ;)

they might end up in the draw under the knives and sporks..

they might stay on the counter in one of those fancy plate stands..

Wall units are designed to carry a lesser weight than those of base units. That said, i made fixing provisions for all of the wall units in my kitchen, allowing the wife to cram whatever she wanted into them. :p
