kitchen waste pipe protection

hi - is there any kind of metal mesh or grill that i can put overe the kitchen waste pipe that comes out of the kitchen wall into the garden ?....ive replaced the pipe clips at least 3 times so far..it seems the kids play footy in the garden and constantly hit the pipe, breaking the clips and knocking the pipe out...ta
