Kitchen Worktop Wax

I recently had a new kitchen put in by the council, the worktops are that granite, I think its a cover on wood, anyway on one part the shine has come off its like a constant dust mark, do I buy this linissed oil or a bit of varnish as you can probably tell I am not a DIY person neither are any of men I know Any advice please.

Wipe the suface down with olive oil.
