Hello all, I have knocking when on slow turn/full lock going clockwise.
Which side should I be looking at?

Also, can I try & pack more grease into the CV joint before I have to replace the driveshaft assy?

Also, also..... what happens if the CV joint fails?

to check the CV joint put a full left hand lock on and reverse in a circle. do the same on the other lock , you should be able to hear the CV that has gone . packing with grease wont help if its gone . it needs replacing.

Cheers, If I do a left hand lock, which joint will it be?
The right one?

I hope you don't mind me butting in, but exchange driveshafts are the way to go here....usually the outer boot splits, throws black grease all over the wheel arch, water and grit gets in and then its farewell....!

I beg to differ, no need to replace a drive shaft fot a worn CV joint unless it's of the type that comes as a sealed unit.

It's a Puegot 206 Y reg.

I have a feeling then that this is a job for a garage as I don't think I can quite manage this on a main road :D
