Hello

I live in a 1900's end terrace that has a later single storey extension on the back that is currently our kitchen. The extension also includes a coal shed and then an outside toilet, both accessed from the outside.

Ideally I would like to knock through and make these part of the house. The roof is in good condition and there is a concrete floor in the toilet but not the coal shed.

The extension is only single thickness brick so I intended to build a stud wall on the inside.

Has anyone done anything like this before as any advice would be welcomed at this point?

I can't help wondering whether your gained space will be useable.

Other than the above, as long as you adhere to latest building regulation then you will be ok. This will require an application.

Things to consider are floor, walls, roof, windows, venting, electrics, heating and (possibly) fire or escape.

In some instances it is more economical/practical to demolish.
