Hi everyone,

I have a situation with my door frames. So, they are new frames and they are not primed. On the bottle of Knotting says that after I apply it on the nodes, I have to paint with oil based emulsion if I want to paint over with water based. Do I also have to sand the oil based before applying the water based. Isn't that true? I have a undercoat trade from Dulux that says I can use it on wood and for the top coat Eggshell from Dulux.

Thank you!

It says a "suitable" waterbased primer. I have had no problems using water based primers in the past.

BTW, I have never heard of "oil based emulsion"...

This is what it says on the back and that's why I was confused.
