Hello group, I am fitting a 90cm² window into a 4” breeze block wall, it’s a single skin non cavity on a garage, I was going to use a standard 6x4” concrete lintel to span the top with 6” bearing either side. The lintel will support x2 rows of block & the roof joists atop. However I was informed by a window company that I don’t need a concrete lintel, and they can supply an L bracket which will do a similar job. Can anyone advise on these, and how they fit?

They are called single leaf lintels (not brackets) and are 'L' shaped.

Some are more load bearing than others. Does this particular masonry carry the roof load?

Thanks for the prompt reply noseall, I've included a couple of photos, basically I will be removing x4 blocks high x 2 blocks wide, leaving x2 courses at the top. The roof is peaked, with concrete marley type tiles.
regards Otto
