I dont know if its been painted over or was never there to start with (cant see any on the neighbouring sills).
Any tips on how to cut one?
Have seen drip moulds mentioned elsewhere on the site - what are they and how do you get hold of them - or can I make one?

Thanks in anticipation

your capillery or drip groove should be about 5mm deep 5mm wide 10mm back from the front edge

the only way to do it if you cant get a router in is to use a hand molding plane
a biscut joiner or some simmilar tool :D ;)

a temporary fix is to run a bead of silicon along to form a low point for the water to drip off

thanks big-all

small point I failed to mention is the sills are masonary.
might try the silicon in the meantime thou'
