Hi

I have 18mm t&g oak flooring in most of my downstairs, which is doing very well. However, in the kitchen, I have a few boards which have lost a lot of lacquer and are sort of worn through somewhat.

Can I just sand and lacquer (I'd say it's a matt finish) the affected areas? If so, what am I looking for on the shelf- I see varnish, but not lacquer. Ta.

if you are thinking of patch sanding you might struggle to match the finish, particularly if it is a factory applied finish. probably better to sand the lot off. Got a picture of the affected floor?
