Ladder Jack

Could somebody be kind enough to tell me what Ladder Jacks are known as in the UK.

Also does anybody knows where to buy/hire them. They seem dirt cheap in the US, but hard to find here.

they are known as ladder jacks

if you maen the funny contraption to put on 2 ladders then boards across i think you will find they were banned years ago which is why you wont find them.

a tower is much safer

They were called 'cripples' round here
