Hi everyone
In the new year I'm ditching carpet for some decent laminate/engineered/real wood planks. Under the carpet instead of floor planks, we have large wooden sheets that squeak(house was built in the rain), so that'll be fun to fix..
Room is roughly 4m x 4m. I've previously laid laminate using quickstep and own brand from Wicks/B&Q, and it seems real hit and miss on the quality (@ £50/m2). I'm fed up of corner chipping and board joints separating a few weeks in.
Does anyone have recommendations on what to avoid, or their favourite brands? Once it's down I'd like to keep it going for several years
Many thanks for any help
