Hi,
We have a small shower room with a tiled floor. The tiles should never have been installed since the floor underneath consists of MDF/chipboard and is too 'springy' so I have constantly had to repair cracked grout.
A family member wishes to simply lay laminate flooring over the top of these tiles, which I am sure is a bad idea. The argument is that the tiles would be too difficult and messy to lift, while I think lifting the tiles and making sure the surface is level would be better.
Can anyone give me any advice? How difficult would it be to lift the tiles? What problems could there be if the laminate is installed over the tiles?
Kind Regards
