I'm lucky enough to have a 90s house with level concrete floors. The current laminate floor is well past its best so it's being replaced.
I would love to have as much heat retention under the flooring as possible, and from what I've seen there's a 3mm foil underlay that I could use for a vapour barrier with a decent tog rating, but would I be OK putting 5mm fibre board on top of that? There's no issue with the height adding up to 16mm with the flooring.
