Hi
Just took up my laminate flooring and noticed that the person that had previously fitted it had used an underlay that was foam on one side and plastic/waterproof material on the other side. It was laid with the shiny(waterproof material) on the top side...is this the correct way round.?. It was on top of plywood on suspended t and g floorboards.
It was a green underlay made by Quickstep if thats any use.

They have quite a good website and a range of underlays.
Check it out.
I can't decide which one you have, but I doubt whether it's particularly important.
They mention one that has a surface to stop a glued laminate floor sticking to the underlay. Perhaps this is what you have....
