Laminate flooring?!

A job has come up and it requires a laying of a new floor.

Currently the lady has vinyl laid down and she is not happy with it (it keeps marking and has dints etc), she's quite interested in laminate flooring...but it's for a kitchen (and possible bathroom) Now i'm sure I've heard somewhere that it's no good in an area prone to water spillage, so a bathroom is defo out of the question! But, will it be ok in the kitchen? I recommended floor tiles but is there different grades of laminate that are specially design for kitchens and bathrooms???

aqualoc laminate flooring, have used this in both my bathroom and kitchen been down now for just over 3 years. haven't had any problems got a young daughter and you know how much mess they can make in a bathroom lol
