Hi all,

I am after some advise, i am in the process of laying down laminate flooring at my parent's house in the hallway. Most of it is straightforward and complete however there is a section of the floor is which is about an inch or 2 higher (raised) than the rest of the hallway. What can i get to cover this raised bit please? Is there any kind of trim i can get and if so where from, looking at homebase, wickes etc websites i can't find any.

Thanks in advance guys

Sounds like a trip hazard, depending on how big an area it was, I'd either have rasied the rest to match or done by best to level it, but digging out the concrete if necessary. Otherwise you'll need to make a feature of it to prevent people tripping.

Seriously though, if levelling the floor isn’t an option, how about using a piece of laminate as the upstand and perhaps get a piece of 90° external trim to cover the join at the edge, perhaps in a contrasting colour?
