I've got a nice even garage conversion floor, with two "dips", about 5mm over 1m at the skirting and probably petering out by 2 foot into the room back to nice and flat again. The rest of the floor is sound.

I'm about to lay an 8mm Laminate over a 3mm underlay on this floor.

Two questions...

1) My first though is to lay n extra thickness of underlay in the "hollow" and hope for the best. I can't help think this is possibly stupid though.

2) If I do what I suggest above, would it be better to run the laminate across the dip like a bridge or the other way around.

Ta. All help gratefully received.

Thin skim of latex to level it out - probably best over a caoting of damp proofer/sealer. That's what a commercial flooring guy would do because it works well
