Hi,
Can anyone help me with a 2 way switched landing light, I have a sketch showing the bathroom light and switch (how do I attach it to this type of correspondence) which I have totally replaced and works. The light on the landing does not, there is a single core with earth which becomes live when the landing light switch is operated. Where can I terminate this live cable? The rose shown is in the attic for the bathroom.

Regards

to add images to a post instrcutions are here

what have you done prior? have you changed the light?

what wires have you and what are they connected to now?

Hi Breezer,
I have re-looked at the problem and put new every thing in so that I knew where all the wires where as it seems to have been a botch job which I was using. I have sent my picture to admin as I have no website. Hopefully the picture will explain a lot of the problem. Bathroom light works correctly now. But the single core cable is still the problem, where do I terminate it so that the landing light will work. At present when the landing light is switched on the single core cable becomes live.
Regards
Will

Are you saying that this "loose wire" was connected to the bathroom light before you changed it?

Could it be that the wire was connected to another that goes on to the landing light?

Theis cable was connected to the bathrom light there is nothing else that it can attach to in thearea.

I do not but it had to go some where on the connection arrangement that was there, if the picture has not arrived yet is there a way that I can get it to you.
