Hello, great site here!

Maybe someone will know about my problem - its an Evesham laptop, Voyager. One day it wouldn't startup, no drama or clues. The little disk light comes on and the clock, but no noise or action or disaplay...

Evesham have gone bust now and there is no sppport.

Is it completely dead or could it just be the disk?

Hello and welcome to the forums.
when you power up your machine what EXACTLY happens?
does the power light come on?
Is there ANYTHING at all displayed on the screen?
Does it "bleep"?
Try an external monitor... Any display on this?
Listen carefully to the laptop, get very close with your ear. Can you hear the drive spinning up?

I am assuming the battery is ok or you are on the external supply.
Is the indicator light on the external supply "on "?

Hello thanks!

When I press the power button the clock shows and the disk light comes on. Also a light that looks like snow flake.
If I plug the power in the battery light is on then and theone that looks like a plug. No noise. But if i leave it on then the fan starts after a few minutes, and the disk light goes.

Nothing showing on the monitor if i plug one.

No bleeps at all. :(

You may need to toggle the display output in order for your external monitor to pickup the signal. It is usually something like Function (fn) + F5 key combination. Look for the screen symbol on the function keys.
