Hi folks,

Got a triple garage floor of concrete plus the accompanying driveway to rip up (and the bricks from the garages), plus a shed base and about 30m of concrete paths.

Building some new stuff on the site instead.

Will it be at all worth getting a crusher to turn all of this in to hardcore for the new buildings? Or is that not economical on this scale?

Cheers,
Rich

Deffo not worth it. Plus you need a lot of room, out of the way of the construction zone, to store the stuff.

An you have to move it a few times too.

 Dig a hole and bury it! :p

£200 - £400 per day for small crusher with operator. Weigh that up vs. price of skips etc.
I agree with Nosey though, easier to get it gone and start afresh.

Shop around for skip prices, many will give a keen price for clean hardcore.

Cheers folks, will just get a grab lorry to take it away in that case.

Do you have

(a) children

and

(b) a lump hammer?

Cheers
Richard

He's not wrong! Helped my old man build a garage when I was a sprog, me and my mate had a great time smashing things up with a hammer. Although we spent the afternoon throwing mud pies at each other and got 'chucked off site'

2 lemonades and a bag of crisps in the pubs car park were our wages, and they say Eastern Europeans are cheap!
