Large Shrub Next to House - Removal

Hi, have a shrub right next to house which has grown a lot over the past few years
(it is about a foot from the wall, about 2-3 metres tall and stem is about 10 cm diameter!).

I think I need to remove it. But I am concerned about damaging house (I think there
is a drain running basically underneath where the shrub is!).

Any advice on how to remove shrub without damage to foundations and drains

Cut it down with a pruning saw then drill and poison the stump.

Prune it back from the fence...and take a closer look at it. The bottom looks to be in dire need of attention.
