Hi there,
I am in the process of propagating 18 Laurel cuttings, all softwood new growth from this year.
Cut a 30cm cutting off, shred all but three leaves at the top, dipped in rooting compound and into the sandy cutting compost they went, sprayed a little water, and fingers were crossed.
48 hours later all but two of the 18 have gone limp and lifeless, I helped them stand with short canes but it seems only two have survived being cut from the mother plant?
How long do you leave them (no pun intended) before discarding the limp cutting? How long does it take before you know they wont come to life??
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Arthur
