i recently had a deep pile wool carpet lay on my bullnose stairs by a friend.
unfortunately i was not there when the carpet was laid and he did it a 'waterfall style', as opposed to following the curve of the bullnose.
when i later asked him about this he said it was natural to lay the carpet this way, but im not sure as there is some movement to the carpet on the vertical drops. i would rather it follow the bullnose shape.
i have been advised to tack the carpet, yet others say this will cause bumps due to the pile of the carpet. im not sure how to do this. can anyone advise please?
thanks
