i do need some advice here please, i have just removed marley tiles from a concrete floor in my home and a thin layer of bitumen is covering the floor surface, how should i prepare the surface for the slate tiles to be laid. many thanks
Brush off all loose dust, then hoover up anything that didn't brush off, then give the bitumen a good scratching with a wire brush (wear a dust mask), then hoover it again, then coat with a proprietary primer.
An example of a primer is "Weber iboprim", but I'm sure your local tile supplier will advise you.
