So I've searched the internet high and low but I can't find a definitive answer.

Basically the method for laying felt backed carpet? It's going in a small spare bedroom that will really be only used for a couple of weeks per year.

So, underlay or not? And do I use grippers or not? If so does it have to be the special 'velcro' type or can I just use normal stuff?

If not grippers, then glued? Double sided tape?

I'd rather do this myself to save some cash although I know most will suggest a proper fitter. And I already have a knee kicker.

There doesn't seem to be an agreed consensus.

Thanks in advance.
