Can anyone advise the best way to lay sheets of glass mosaic wall tiles? What type of adhesive is needed? Do we need spacers? Will they slide off the wall as soon as they are let go of?
I use BAL mosaic fix which is a bright white powdered adhesive so if you get a bit squeeze between the tiles it is less likely to show assuming you are using white grout.
Use a mosaic trowel which will have about a 3mm square notch, any more and you will get it comming through the joints and the tiles wil slump.
Offer the sheet upto the wall and then use the flat of a grout float to gently press them flat and to push the sheet about if it needs positioning.
You don't need spacers, if the adhesive is correctly mixed the sheets will not slide down the wall.
