hi everyone,
I am in the process of redoing my utility room and am contemplating replacing the carpet with laminate. i just have a couple of questions.
1. would it be okay to lay the laminate directly on to chipboard without an underlay? or is that absolutely neccessary? I just don't want my floor to be raised beyond my kitchen level.
2. would it be okay to leave a between the floor and the skirtingboard on two adjacent sides of the room? Or do i have to leave a gap on all 4 sides?
I did ask the chap in b and q these questions but I had a feeling he was just in on saturdays and didn't really know what he was going on about.
thanks in advance.
lorraine.
