Any chance I can push some mains 22mm under concrete (part floorboarded, part tiled) without having to rip it up ? It has a sand sub-base of about 80mm but I'm not sure how hard it'll be to push through it if I've capped the pipe off. I have a 9m run so I will have sections dug up for joins.
I also plan on running some 15mm hot water feed from the boiler through the same route.
I was initially planning on chasing through the concrete and put down some metal trunking but that seems like a lot of work. As long as its accessible at the junction points, should be fine ?

I'll be amazed if you can get pipe to push through underground, you'll have to cut a channel into the concrete.
I've done a similar thing where I had to lay the radiator pipes under a suspended floor then into a new screed, I didn't want any joints to be buried as that's just asking for trouble in my book so I did this, I used Kuterlex PC covered copper pipe that you can get on a 25m coil, it's protected from corrosion by the covering and can be threaded through floors in one piece.
It's expensive but hopefully means I'll never get a leak and have to rip the floors up!

when chasing the concrete, should I use a metal tray? I fear rats may find a way in, unlikely, but you never know.
