For the third time, a dog walker has put their dog's bag of shoite in my green bin. The bin in emptied when I'm out otherwise I'd collar the b@574rd5.

I'm thinking of putting a message on a local neighbour's group, but I'd probably end up with all the LSB's coming round to throw their dogs' poop all over my property.

It is technically flytipping to put your rubbish into someone else's bin.

At the moment No. But it could be, if councils get the right to fine us for not having the right stuff in the bin.

Obviously if the bin is on your land, then it's trespass. At a very long stretch you could argue criminal damage as ultimately someone has to clean the poo out of the bin, so it caused damage. You may also be able to report them for failing to clean up properly after the dog. Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014

`its a bit inconsiderate for the poor bin guy who has to sort the recycling out (often by hand).

Why don't you put up a camera and catch him or her in the act.

Is it actually a council bin that has been given to you to use? (got the council crest on it?).
Was it also placed on the public footpath?

TBH I would not worry about it, your not going to get fined for it and no one else is going to care about it.

Would you rather the dog poo was left on the pavement?
Perhaps approach the council to put up a public bin near you.

Where do you live? Be good to know where we can drop off dog turds...

never ever ever raise your head above the parapet for mild annoyance as the solution is easily sorted with little effort 'every thing where you make it "public" by notice or on social media gives focus to anyone who needs a vent this can mean nothing or the person can react a bit through bazaar through psychotic to pure evil all they need is a focus so remove yourself from any nutters  :giggle:

They do it to us as well, but I'm okay with it.

I'm not a 'doggy person' at all, and have absolutely no interest in them. So when I'm greeted with excrement that has been smeared all over the pavement by some mucky pooch, I'm very okay with the alternative being that a bag is popped in my bin (or my neighbour's). Of course they should take it home with them, but many owners don't want the inconvenience of the reality of owning a dog.

Why is this worth worrying about?
What would you do if this happened to you?

Vinty, great idea.

Matty, yes council wheelie bin.

Big all, yes, I'm aware of the reaction to complaints.

Someone round here put a big notice up in her front garden complaining of dog mess in her garden, both bagged and deposited direct.

Over the next few days, many bags of poo were thrown in her garden, some of it human. Don't ask how they found that out....

CW, I feel the same way. If people don't want the inconvenience of dealing with poop, don't own a dog.

But then if you're a LSB, then you DGAF.

Maybe they choose the first bin they come to so can you move the bins away out off reach or at least make the normal bin the first one they reach ?

I'm guilty

I pick up the poo with a cented doggy poo bag and Tye a knot.
Me putting it in your bin is far better than leaving it to be trod on or hang the bag for my return.

Need to save your anger for the ones who don't give a shìt. Or for the neighbours who put their bins out the night before knowing there will be a big wind overnight.

Why don't you just put it in your pocket and then into your own bin upon your return?
