Hey folks: So: the setup is a slated dormer cheek forming an internal parallel corner with a brick chimney breast - both faces are vertical. A bit like this:

My setup is similar with the lead currently covering the soakers.
Now: I could silicone the lead flap and leave it but wanted to ask if I should create a vertical chase on the brickwork and return the lead into the chase (and finish off with mortar or sealant)?
I couldn't find a single image online and I'm wondering why that is? Am I tackling this the wrong way? Please advise
