I have damp entering via a lead gully between pitched slate roofs. Can't identify exact leak. Does anyone know a cost effective way of waterfroofing lead gully, or are you safer to get the thing replaced?
Of course it's better to do a complete renewal (if done properly)
But if you are happy with a cheaper, temporary repair then there are many proprietary brush-on type products available from merchants which may cure your problem for a while.
nitram66, i am not saying you are wrong, but are you sure its not zinc?
we had a similar problem and zinc does not last all that long, (compared to lead) and we had to have the whole lot changed. it turned out the zinc had small holes in here and there.
aparently all houses near me have zinc not lead, so eveyone will have to have it done soon (around here that is)
