 Hello. I am new to this forum but thought i would try to ask a question on something really bugging me. I have some old metal dinky toys painted in their original lead finish. I have a few others that have a modern acrylic painted on top of the original paint and i would like to remove it but without disturbing the lead paint. Is there any way this can be done please. Any help and advice would be very welcomed.. :D

You could try soaking them in really hot water to see if that softens the acrylic film...

But its doubtful to be honest.

 Thanks for the advice Zampa. I will give it a go on a broken plane first to see if works. Much appreciated.
