Hello, I am in desperate need of some advice about a leak in a first floor bedroom. There are no drop marks, just a damp patch at the top of the wall - the opposite side is an exterior wall. Gutters seems to be okay - I have looked when it was raining and all water seems to be flowing away okay. The exterior water seems to look damp but I can’t tell where the water is getting in… any suggestions please ? We had the whole roof replaced only a few months ago but it doesn’t seem to have fixed the problem.

Many thanks

You'll need to take some tiles off and check the felt/ membrane, particularly at the eaves.

Also check that junction of the fascia and wall, as that's a route for rain to travel horizontally. The wall should be lower and have a flashing cap so that water does not get between the two.

Looks like a redundant chimney that served the kitchen, I don't thing it will be coming from the roof if it was there before it was re-roofed. Noseall is probably on the right track, can you get it swept?
