Leak in a Vectra

Trice now after heavy rain we have ended up with a pool f water in the front passenger well on the car, totally at a loss where its coming from..it happens when the car is stationary and the windows are shut..

Any thoughts comments welcome.

Lift the bonnet and have a look at the back of the bulkhead. On either side where the wings join, there should be some drain holes to let the water out. May have to remove the plastic scuttle tray that covers up the wiper mechanism. These usually get filled with leaves and crap and the water comes in through the heater fan.
If you leave it too long you'll notice the fan start squeeking as the main shaft starts rusting.

May not be your problem, but the first place i'd be looking!

If nothing obvious there, pull the carpets back from the footwell, and get someone to run a hose over the windscreen area while you look for leaks
