Wife spotted water marks around loo. We have 2 boys.
I can see no sign of inlet pipe or waste leaking, and toilet is new and no signs of cracks etc.
But it does not smell of wee.

But I think wee. Wife thought we should mention it to the plumber.

Got any food colouring or drain tracing dye? Add to wc pan, and flush test. No colour, then I’d say it’s wee.

Water runs down, take dry tissue paper and rub it around the pan and any section that you can reach including the water feed pipe coming through the skirting board and the pipe from pan to soil stack. It all looks pretty recent so it is possible the pan has a tiny crack in which case I have used green food dye in the pan to prove this before.

ive had this several times in the last few years. where’s the bog from? how much did it cost?
people think theyre getting bargains buying junk lately from online bathroom stores, trouble is the pan outlets arent glazed properly , and it’s a b@st@rd to seal them even with the dearest pan connectors.

It's Ideal Standard, not sure where from.
