Hi, I've just moved into a new flat and have somehow caused a leak within a few days...
The leak is occurring where I've circled. Does anyone know what pipe this is? I can't seem to tighten it any more by hand, and I don't have a wrench handy.
If I raise the red part it does seems to slow the drip slightly. Could it potentially be linked to the boiler or washing machine?

Any help or guidance would be massively appreciated. Thanks!

It’s a washing machine connection. The middle part of the valve should have a plastic handle, but can be turned vertically to off using an adjustable spanner, pliers et al.

Ah great, thanks! I'm guessing the valve bit has come off? Is it that bit just to the left of the circle that I'll need to try and turn somehow? Or might I be able to buy a new valve?

If the leak is where the white plastic nut screws onto the valve ,you will need a new hose washer size 3/4 inch.
Yeah that's where it is leaking. What do these look like just in-case I need to get one? Thanks.

Haha thanks, and this just slots in-between the valve and white plastic bit? Obviously I'll need to unscrew it first.
You need to close the isolation valve first ,and the hose will still be full of water ,so be prepared, then unscrew the hose off. Remove the old washer ,ensure all is clean, then fit new washer and reassemble.

Is the isolation valve the bit just next to it? Turning that to vertical will close it?

Probably the square end of a shaft, poking out the side of the valve. You need to turn that just 90 degrees/one quarter turn. If you are lucky, there might be a line engraved on the square - off is with the line vertical, if the valve body is horizontal.

Yes ,the isolation valve is what the white nut of the red hose screws onto. As stated earlier it has the operating lever missing, and will need a spanner to turn the spindle to close / open it.
