LEAKING BATH OVERFLOW

THE OVERFLOW ON MY BATH HAS JUST STARTED LEAKING WATER IT IS A STEADY FLOW AND HAS NEVER DONE IT BEFORE.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS WHY OR HOW TO GO ABOUT FIXING IT?

Is it the type of overflow that combines with the waste?

If so, then leaking from which end?

If not, then where is it leaking from?

Combined bath/storage cistern type overflow in a flat

look at floatvalves in wc and other tanks
