Leaking BSP fittings

I got two 1/2 inch BSP water hammer arrestors (here), installed them onto my hot and cold taps, which fixed the water hammer, but the pesky buggers just don't stop leaking.

I used PTFE tape and jointing compound but they just won't stop leaking. The other problem is I can only hand tighten them since it has no grooves machined for spanners.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can resolve this ?

Clean all the tape and sealant off the threads and use Loctite 55 instead.

Hand tight will be good enough as long as you have sufficient cord on the threads
