Hi,

My bathroom sink is leaking, I have looked behind and it seams that the plate has corroded, either because the seal has gone in the tap or the pipes have an issue? I called a plumber out and he said I would need to buy a new tap and he would need to remove the sink to fix it all at a cost of £100.

Can anybody give me any tips and can this be done without having to remove the entire sink? thanks

Box spanner?

I think he is right, you will need to remove the sink to cut the bolt off.

I'd have a go at removing the tap securing nut after giving myself some room by disconnecting the waste first, but if that doesn't work then it's sink off.....which shouldn't be too much of an issue.
There seems to be a weep on the cold supply too.
John :)
