Leaking Radiator Pipes

A few months ago I took a radiator of the wall to paint behind it, I had a few problem re-connecting it but did it, but now it will not stop leaking, i have stopped the leak by putting a load of Fernox LS-X compound but it looks untidy and the wife keeps on at me to sort it out, if i take what i've put on off I know it's going to start leaking, an ideas.

I presume that you mean the joints / connections to the radiator leak.

If that is the case you may want to put some ptfe tape on the jonts before you tighten them (you will have to take the radiator off again)
